Run Free Fell Runners is an athletic club affiliated to Welsh Athletics based out of Llangollen. We cater for mostly fell running with this being our main discipline but we are also affiliated for road running and cross country.
Most of our members are local to Llangollen and North Wales but we are also have members in the neighbouring counties of Cheshire and Shropshire.

Second Claim £30
Second claim membership refers to a runner who is already first claim with another affiliated running club and competes for that club but who wants to train and attend another club, in most circumstances you are only allowed to compete for your first claim club. Transferring from another club
If you wish to become a first claim Run Free member and are transferring from a previous club, or you have been a member of any running/athletics club within the last 3 years, you will need to complete a First Claim Club transfer request form from Welsh Athletics, even if your membership had lapsed.
This form is available from the Welsh Athletics website, and will require two signatures from your previous club, as well as a fee of £15 payable to Welsh Athletics (for U17, U20 and all senior athletes only). This form along with payment will need to be sent to Welsh Athletics directly (address is on the form). CODE OF CONDUCT
Run Free Fell Runners strictly enforce the Code of Conduct guidelines that are set out by Welsh Athletics and that were re-reviewed in January of 2020. These are applicable to all members including athletes, coaches and volunteers. All our members when joining the Club are bound by these guidelines. This also applies to the new UKA Welfare & Safeguarding Guidelines that were set out in late 2021.
